You’ve built a useful toolkit but your homepage behaves like an over-enthusiastic index page. Pick one story and lead with it — everything else should support that single idea.

THE ROAST ← the good, the bad, the oof

01

Clarity

5/10
Your headline tells me who you want, but the first paragraph is a laundry list: 'Track expenses in over 160 currencies, fully offline. Log spending by chat or voice. Set trip budgets and get insights from AI travel companions.' That’s three different product promises with equal,

The page lists features (160 currencies, offline, chat/voice logging, AI companions) but never ties them into one clear outcome. I had to read multiple lines to figure out whether BudgetBro is primarily an expense tracker, an AI assistant, or a travel publication.

FIX IT

Lead with one concise benefit sentence + one supporting line. Example: 'BudgetBro helps backpackers stay on budget — track expenses offline in 160+ currencies and let an AI companion warn you when you’re about to blow your trip fund.'

02

Audience

5/10
You’re shouting at 'backpackers, digital nomads, solo travellers and gap-year adventurers' like they all live in the same backpack. They don't.

Listing four distinct audiences in the hero dilutes the message. A nomad who budgets monthly income has different needs than a gap-yearer rationing pocket money for three months.

FIX IT

Choose a primary persona for the homepage (e.g., 'backpackers & budget travellers') and tailor the hero benefit + feature bullets to that group's top pain points. Offer a secondary line/link for other personas.

03

Value

4/10
You give me features but no payoff. 'AI-powered companions' sounds fancy — what will that do for me on day three of a 6‑week trip when I’ve run out of cash?

Features: offline, 160 currencies, chat/voice logging, AI insights. Outcome missing: save money, avoid overdraft, stay within daily budget, or spend X% less. Without a clear result, visitors aren’t motivated to download.

FIX IT

Rewrite the opening to sell the outcome not the tech. Example: 'Never run out of travel cash again. Track every spend offline, convert 160+ currencies instantly, and get AI alerts when your trip budget is at risk.'

04

Trust

4/10
You confidently claim 'Bro Free is free forever with no ads' and 'AI-powered companions' but offer zero proof: no screenshots, no user counts, no testimonials, no privacy hint. Bold, and unsupported.

Trust signals are missing. There are blog posts and developer links, which is fine, but nothing on the homepage that answers: Who uses this? Is my money data safe? Is the AI reliable?

FIX IT

Add three trust elements above the fold: 1) a screenshot of the app, 2) a short user quote or stat (even 'Trusted by travellers worldwide' with a small number), 3) a privacy line: 'Data stored locally & offline — no ads.'

05

CTA

4/10
You've scattered CTAs everywhere: 'Get BudgetBro', 'Download free on the App Store or Google Play', 'View More', and developer links. No clear first action.

Multiple equal-weight CTAs confuse visitors. The primary conversion should be obvious and immediate: download or start using the web app.

FIX IT

One strong primary CTA above the fold: 'Download free — iOS & Android' (button) and a single secondary link 'Use BudgetBro on the web' beneath it. Remove 'View More' from the hero.

IF YOU FIX ONLY THREE THINGS…

1

Rewrite the hero to sell one outcome, not a checklist

Replace the current hero with a single benefit sentence + supporting sentence that combines features into a clear result (example provided). This gives visitors one reason to keep reading or download.

2

Clarify who this is for and tailor hero copy

Pick a primary audience (e.g., 'backpackers & budget travellers') and show two feature bullets that address their top pain points (running out of cash, messy receipts, currency conversion). Link to tailored pages for nomads/gap-yearers.

3

Add real trust signals and a single, bold CTA

Put an app screenshot, one user quote or stat, and a compact privacy/data note above the fold. Replace multiple CTAs with one primary button: 'Download free — iOS & Android' and a single secondary: 'Use web app'.
